The Sunday Edit
This week has been quiet in my estimations. All good intentions, not so much activity. No fancy pants dining this week, however I did visit Gusto Newcastle for a catch up with a friend. Part of Newcastle Restaurant Week, they pulled out all the stops - fab cocktails too.
Here's a few highlights of my happenings;
This week I was invited for hospitality The Ashes at Durham County Cricket Club, courtesy of the audio visual powerhouse that is The R&B Group. The event was filled with (many) wines, great event catering, banter with my table colleagues and some high end cricket. The organisation of the whole event was tremendous, and couldn't really fault it for such a big production. Here is a snap of us all;
Chanel Sculpte Sourcils
That's brow pencil to you and I. Love this product, which is now a make up bag staple. Super creamy, long lasting and doesn't budge. At last! The angled brush softens the pencil to give a more natural, defined look. Pricey at £23 (compared to my previous Clinique choice at £13), but worth it.
I am such a stickler for same old-same old. My manicure is always dark red. So this weekend, I threw all caution to the wind and dabbled in neon. The choice was No7 Stay Perfect Nail Colour in Me Me Me. A great bargain at £6 (or 600 points), quick drying and super strong. It's already survived many house chores and long baths. Maybe not a great choice for work (in hospitality it's generally frowned upon), however for a weekend pick-me-up it's great.
My week ahead...
Gym. Must go to the gym. Only 4 weeks to go to the biggest running gig of Newcastle - The Great North Run. 13.1 miles of hell - you should know I'm a massive fail at running. Channel thoughts of Pheobe Buffay in 'The One Where Pheobe Runs' and you've got the basic gist. If you've not seen it (why?) here it is!
Have a great week!
